As we transition out of the pandemic, the majority of students have returned to in-person learning. Due to low enrolment numbers at SPVA, the Division is updating the grade configuration to focus on Grades 8 & 9 only, aligning the format of education with the successful model used in our Learning Centres.
New Learning Model
For the 2024-25 school year, SPVA students in Grades 8 and 9 will benefit from:
Asynchronous Online Learning: Complete all academic programming online at your own pace.
In-Person Support: Access support at our Learning Centre locations in Gibbons and Morinville. Staff will be available for questions, guidance, and direct instruction as needed.
Flexible Engagement: Students can visit either Learning Centre at any time to engage in schoolwork, seek help, or book specific times for direct instruction.
Important Changes
There will no longer be regularly scheduled, daily in-person virtual lessons.
SPVA will not accept registrations for Grade 7 students for the 2024-25 school year.
